Monitor Treatment & Healing Progress

One of the many advantages of Infrared Thermal Imaging is its capability to objectively monitor treatment and healing progress of an injury. At times, treatment doesn’t work as expected and normally you would need to wait to see if there is a healing response. IRT can detect whether treatment is effective early on in the process and can even see if infection is setting in. If necessary, adjustments can be made to treatment if healing of an injury is not progressing in a positive direction.

IRT when used as a visual monitoring tool also has the capability of letting horse owners know when their horse is healed and ready to go back to work. Once back in training, continue to monitor with IRT for any signs of stress when training first begins to reduce the possibility of re-injury.

Monitor treatment and healing progress with IRT. It is accurate, fast, convenient and affordable for horse owners to regularly monitor status of their horse’s health.

As with any adjunctive imaging screening (such as ultrasound, radiography etc.), thermography is not a stand-alone screening tool and does not replace any other diagnostic device. Additional diagnostic screenings may be necessary and prescribed by your veterinarian for complete diagnosis.
