Does Your Saddle Really Fit Your Horse?

Saddle fitting can be tricky and a poorly fitting saddle can cause pressure, pinching, pain and back problems for a horse. How well does the saddle you selected fit your horse and when was the last time you checked to see how comfortable your horse is when ridden?

Let us check your saddle fit for you and teach you how to do it yourself.

  • We'll check to make sure the saddle is the correct size for the rider
  • We'll take a thermal image of your horse's back to see any saddle pain points and damage
  • We'll chalk draw the correct saddle fit zone for your horse on his/her body and measure and assess your current saddle fit
  • We'll lunge your horse with its saddle to check active movement of the saddle to assess motion fit and comfort
  • We'll teach you how to do this yourself so you can check any saddle fit on your horse.

Saddle fit needs to be checked regularly due to your horse's change body and usage. If your horse avoids being saddled, as a bad attitude, won't move forward, bites, kicks and more, it is very likely your horse is in pain due to a poorly fitting saddle.

Our Saddle Fit Assessment is quick, easy and affordable and will quickly help to get you and your horse back on track. We also offer a Saddle Fit Clinic that we'll bring right to your barn and can train up to 12 participants at one location. Share the "Saddle Fitting" knowledge with your barn mates.  It makes for a fun training day with friends which will help multiple horse's and their riders with saddle fit.
